Stitch Fix #1 March 2015

Hey everyone! I just started doing Stitch Fix last month. Ever since I found out about it I have been obsessed with looking at review blogs from other people using the service so I thought I would start one of my own.

A little background about me, I'm a 20 something from Minnesota working in the finance industry. The dress code at work is pretty casual but I'm just interested in the service because shopping for clothes is NOT my favorite past time.

A little background about Stitch Fix, it is an online personal styling service for women. You fill out a pretty detailed profile about your likes and dislikes when it comes to styles and how you like your clothes to fit as well as info about your body and proportions. You then pay a $20 styling fee and they will then send you 5 pieces of clothing or accessories and you have three days to try on and whatever you don't like you send back in a prepaid bag. If you decide to keep something the $20 styling fee will go towards that purchase and if you decide to keep all 5 things you get 25% off. If you decide to send it all back you do lose out on the $20 styling fee but you only have to pay for what you keep.

And now for the fun part! :)

So exciting!

There are instructions on the inside of the box that tells you how the service works and the bag to return was right on top.
So pretty!

Just Black Dean Ankle Zip Skinny Jean

I loved these! They were so comfy and the first pair of skinny jeans that I have ever tried on and actually felt comfortable in! The only problem was the rise was a little lower than I usually like and I felt like there was a little plumber crack going on. We don't want that!

Verdict: Return
19 Cooper Rover Abstract Print Zip Back Blouse

I will admit it. I peeked at what I was getting before hand. I thought I was going to hate this one. The pattern was so much more out there than what I am used to that I thought this was going to be an absolute no. Then I tried it on, and I fell in love! Just goes to confirm, this is why I signed up, to get me out of my comfort zone because I never would have tried this on in a store.

Verdict: Keep!

41 Hawthorn Beckett Graphic Print V-Neck Blouse

I wanted to like this one. I really did. But I wasn't too fond of the way the V was different than the rest of the shirt. And when I tried it on it was gaping up by the chest and in the arms but super tight across the stomach. Not comfortable and not flattering.

Verdict: Return
Papermoon Crissy Spacedye Cross-Back Knit Shirt

Love! This shirt is so soft and I love the cross back detail. Sorry I didn't get a good picture of the back but this shirt is my favorite for the fix. I also love the little Aztec detail on the pocket.

Verdict: Keep!

Donna Morgan Frank Polka Dot Dress

I loved this one so much! I am such a huge fan of polka dots. Unfortunately I am pretty short (5'2" on a good day) and this dress hit below my knees making me look even shorter. I also have relatively short arms and couldn't zip this by myself. Really a bummer because it was just adorable.

Verdict: Sadly Return

Final thoughts, I loved the whole thing and signed up to get another fix in a month, which should be arriving tomorrow. The prices are a little higher than I normally pay for clothes but it didn't bother me because I am paying for someone else to do the hard part, picking out clothes.

I hope you enjoyed my first review and I can't wait to do another one! I would love it if you guys would sign up using my referral link as well!
